브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이스라엘은 1일(현지시간) "팔레스타인 무장정파 하마스가 작전 중단을 위반하고 공격해왔다"면서 임시 휴전을 중단하고 전투를 재개한다고 밝혔다.
미국 CNN은 이날 이스라엘방위군(IDF)의 성명을 인용 보도하며 "가자지구에서 하마스 테러 조직을 상대로 전투를 재개한다"고 했다.
양측이 일시 휴전에 합의한지 7일 만에 전쟁이 재개된 것이다.
이스라엘과 하마스는 지난달 24일부터 인질 석방을 위해 일시 휴전에 합의했다. 이 기간동안 하마스가 납치해간 이스라엘인과 외국인 인질 등 총 105명이 풀려났다. 이스라엘도 팔레스타인 수감자 210명을 석방했다.
