산청군은 12일 시천면 산청곶감유통센터에서 곶감 초매식을 개최했다.
이번 초매식에는 이승화 산청군수, 정명순 산청군의회 의장을 비롯해 농협, 생산자, 중매인 등 80여명이 참석해 산청곶감 풍년을 기원했다.
이날 첫 경매에 돌입한 산청곶감은 내년 1월 30일까지 매주 화요일과 금요일 총 14회 경매를 통해 전국 소비자를 찾을 예정이다.
경매에는 미건조 곶감, 곰팡이 곶감, 포장 속박이, 기타 불량곶감출하 금지 등 저품질 곶감 반입을 금지해 최고 품질의 산청곶감을 선보여 소비자 신뢰도를 높인다는 방침이다.
또 겨울철 감염 질환 예방, 안전사고 방지 등을 위해 경매물량을 분산출하 하는 등 안전수칙을 준수해 경매를 진행한다.
올해는 전국적으로 이상기후와 병해충 등의 여파로 원료감 수확량이 예년에 비해 감소했다.
하지만 산청곶감은 지리산을 끼고 있는 천혜의 자연환경과 축적된 재배기술로 최고의 품질을 자랑하고 있다.
