브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 효성그룹은 13일 서울시 중구에 위치한 사회복지공동모금회에서 희망2024나눔캠페인에 성금 10억 원을 전달했다고 밝혔다.
이번 성금 모금에는 (주)효성, 효성티앤씨(주), 효성중공업(주), 효성첨단소재(주), 효성화학(주) 5개 사업 회사가 함께 참여했다.
효성그룹의 성금은 6.25 참전용사의 주거 안정을 위한 나라 사랑 보금자리 사업 지원, 경력 보유 여성 취업 활성화 지원, 지역 아동센터 영어 교육 지원 등 사업에 사용될 예정이다.
조현준 효성 회장은 “추운 겨울이지만 도움이 필요한 이웃들에게 따뜻한 희망으로 다가갔으면 좋겠다”며 “앞으로도 효성그룹은 나눔 활동에 앞장서 사회적 가치를 실천하는 기업으로 그 책임을 다해 나갈 것이다”고 전했다.
한편, 효성은 ‘나눔으로 함께 하겠습니다’라는 사회공헌 슬로건 아래 △취약계층 지원 △문화예술 후원 △호국보훈 3대 테마를 중심으로 지속적인 사회공헌 활동을 진행하고 있다.
