동국대 WISE캠퍼스 유아교육과 제자사랑 장학금 수여식 개최

【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=동국대 WISE캠퍼스 유아교육과(학과장 김은경 교수)는 지난 12일 원효관 글로벌에이스홀에서평소 불심이 돈독하고 학업 성적이 우수한 유아교육과 재학생 40명에게 1인당 1백만원씩, 총 4천만원의 장학금을 지급했다고 13일 밝혔다.

장학금 재원은 대원스님(유아교육과 명예교수)의 기부금으로 조성된 성전대원장학기금, 유아교육과 졸업생들의 기부로 이루어진 엑설런트장학기금, WISE캠퍼스 유아교육과 후배사랑장학기금을 통해 마련됐다.

유아교육과는 이미 2022년에도 성전대원·제자사랑 장학금 수여식을 통해 유아교육과 재학생 60명에게 1인당 1백만원씩 총 6천만원의 장학금을 전달한 바 있다.

한편 장학금 수여식이 거행된 글로벌에이스홀은 2022년 대원스님의 기부금을 통해 최첨단 강의실로 거듭났다. 첨단 강의실 구축에는 유아교육과 장학사업과 마찬가지로 지혜와 자비를 갖춘 미래사회 인재가 양성되기를 기원하신 대원스님의 큰 뜻이 담겨 있다.
