【브레이크뉴스 영덕】박희경 기자=영덕군은 도전과 응전의 한 해였던 2023 계묘년을 보내고 새로운 소망으로 2024 갑진년 새해를 맞고자 오는 12월 31일 강구 삼사해상공원에서‘2024 새해맞이 타종식’행사를 개최한다고 14일 밝혔다.

‘2024 새해맞이 타종식’행사는 12월 31일 22시부터 당대 최고 가수들이 출연하는 송년음악제로 식전 분위기를 달구고 자정, 경북대종 타종식을 거행한다. 특히 올해는 영덕군민 외에 타지의 방문객에게도 타종의 기회를 제공해 전 국민의 소망을 담을 예정이다.
이를 위해 영덕문화관광재단은 경북대종 타종을 함께 할 참여자를 공개 모집한다. 대한민국 국민이면 누구나 참여할 수 있고 오는 12월 22일 18시까지 신청 가능하다. 모집인원은 총 10명이며 신청 방법은 영덕문화관광재단 홈페이지와 SNS에서 타종 참가 신청서를 내려받아 사연을 작성한 후 이메일로 접수하면 된다.
전 국민이 함께 울리게 될 경북대종은 1996년 경상북도 개도 100주년 되던 해 조국통일, 민족화합이란 도민의 큰 뜻을 담아 영덕군에 세워진 웅장한 기념물이다. 통일신라시대 호국의 상징인 성덕대왕신종을 본따 만든 것으로‘동해의 찬란한 아침 햇살이 영원히 비칠 영지’인 영덕 삼사해상공원에 설치되었다.

새해맞이 타종식을 준비하는 군 관계자는“맑은 바람과 태양의 기운 가득한 영덕에서
