브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 스마일게이트 RPG의 MMORPG(다중접속역할수행게임) 로스트아크가 ‘2023 윈터 쇼케이스’를 통해 올 겨울 선보일 대규모 업데이트의 로드맵을 공개했다.
‘2023 윈터 쇼케이스’는 지난 15일부터 사흘간 일산 킨텍스에서 개최된 로스트아크 역대 최대 규모의 오프라인 페스티벌 ‘디어 프렌즈 페스타’의 대미를 장식하는 행사로 진행됐다.
이번 쇼케이스에서는 로스트아크의 OST를 라이브로 선보이는 콘서트를 시작으로 향후 로스트아크가 선보일 다양한 콘텐츠들이 공개된 것은 물론, 모험가들을 위한 풍성한 감사 선물도 소개됐다.
특히, 그동안 로스트아크의 개발과 운영을 책임져 온 금강선 CCO의 뒤를 이어 ‘전재학 디렉터’가 새롭게 리더십을 담당한다는 소식도 전했다.
전재학 디렉터가 발표한 로드맵에 따르면 로스트아크는 올 겨울부터 다양한 형태의 ‘레이드’를 기반으로 한 수직형 콘텐츠 업데이트에 집중한다.
이날 공개된 신규 레이드만 해도 ‘카제로스 레이드’, ‘에픽 레이드’, ‘강습 레이드’ 등 3종에 달한다. ‘카제로스 레이드’는 로스트아크 세계관 속 군단장들의 지배자이자 심연의 군주인 ‘카제로스’와의 대전쟁을 레이드 형식으로 구현했다.
‘에픽 레이드’는 최대 16인이 동시에 참여하는 초대형 전투 콘텐츠로 선보인다. ‘강습 레이드’는 기존에 존재하는 아크라시아 대륙 곳곳을 전장으로 활용하는 새로운 형식의 레이드가 될 예정이다.
