세종시가 20일 서울 은행회관 국제회의실에서 열린 ‘2023년 청소년정책 우수지자체 정부포상 전수식’에서 지역 특성에 맞는 다양한 청소년정책을 추진해 온 공로로 2023년 청소년정책 우수지자체로 선정돼 여성가족부 장관 표창을 수상했다고 밝혔다.
이번 평가는 전국 17개 광역 및 228개 기초자치단체를 대상으로 올해 5월부터 10월까지 실시했으며, 청소년정책 분석보고서를 바탕으로 전문가 심의를 거쳐, 청소년정책 우수지자체로 꼽힌 전국 17개 자치단체 가운데 광역 자치단체로는 유일하게 세종시가 이름을 올렸다.
그동안 세종시는 생활권별 청소년복합문화공간 조성을 비롯해 청소년 꿈끼카드 지원, 청소년 창조문화 경연대회, 금강청소년 축제, 청소년 정책제안대회 등 다양한 청소년정책을 펼쳐왔다.
최민호 시장은 “앞으로도 우리 시의 미래인 청소년들이 행복하고 건강하게 성장할 수 있도록 다양한 청소년정책을 적극 추진하겠다”고 말했다.
