더불어민주당 대전시당(이하 대전시당)이 대전시가 지역화폐 국비예산 83억 원 중 60억 원을 반납할 상황에 처한 사실에 대해 ‘얼빠진 대전시’라며 맹 비난하고 나섰다.
대전시당은 20일 더불어민주당 최고위원 ㆍ대전시당 민생안정대책TF단장 명의의 논평을 통해 이같이 직격하고 지역화폐 관련 “이장우시장은 올 4월 지역화폐 명칭을 온통대전에서 대전사랑카드로 바꾸고 충전한도와 캐시백을 조정해 저소득층에 집중 지원하겠다고 밝혔다”고 상기시켰다.
대전시당은 이어 “대전시가 집중 지원하겠다는 저소득층 30만 명 중 대전사랑카드를 발급받은 사람은 1500명 정도에 불과하고, 일반시민들은 지역화폐의 비현실적인 충전금과 낮은 캐시백 적용으로 대전사랑카드를 외면하고 있다”고 우려를 나타냈다.

국비 반납 상황에 대해 대전시당은 “윤석열정부의 부자감세와 경기운영 실패로 올해 대전시로 내려와야 할 교부세 약 3000억 원이 내려오지 못하는 상황에서 이미 지원한 국비예산을 반납하는 것은 대전시장의 직무를 유기한 것”이라고 강조했다.
대전시당은 이어 “더불어민주당이 국민의 힘과 정부의 반대를 무릅쓰고 민생예산인 지역화폐 예산을 2024년에도 부활시켰는데, 이 돈도 대전시는 거부하고 반납할 것인가?”라며 대전시에 반문했다.
