[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 20일 백범 김구기념관에서 진행된 2023 제11회 대한민국 한류대상 시상식에서 ‘국제교류대상’을 수상했다.

2023 제11회 대한민국한류대상은 국회 문화체육관광위원장이 주최하고 한류열풍의 지속을 견인해 온 한류문화산업포럼이 주관하는 국내외 유일한 한류 관련 대상으로 문화체육관광위원회, 서울특별시, 한국관광공사가 후원하는 권위 있는 시상식이다.

이번 시상식은 2023년 한 해 동안 한류문화 혹은 한류산업과 관련된 두드러진 활동으로 한류발전에 기여했거나, 한류의 대내외 확산에 역할을 해 온 국내외 대상자를 발굴해 업적을 널리 알리는 데 목적이 있다.

이날 시상식에서는 거창군이 수상한 국제교류대상을 비롯한 전통문화대상, 대중문화대상, 문화관광대상 등 7개 부문 총 28개 대상 수상자에 대해 시상했다.

거창군은 지난 30여 년간 거창국제연극제 개최로 우수한 해외 공연팀과 꾸준한 교류를 통해 해외 공연문화를 국내에 소개하고 특히 올해 거창문화재단에서 세계 각국의 해외 우수 공연팀 유치와 교류를 통한 우리 문화예술을 널리 알리며 지자체 위상을 드높였다.
