존경하는 38만 아산시민 여러분!
2,600여 아산시 동료 공직자 여러분!
안녕하십니까. 아산시장 박경귀입니다.
희망차게 시작한 계묘년(癸卯年)도
얼마 남지 않았습니다.
2023년 한 해,
아산시정의 든든한 동반자가 되어주셔서
각자의 자리에서 묵묵히 최선을 다해주셔서
정말 감사합니다. 모두 고생 많으셨습니다.
2023년 아산시 공직자들은 ‘공정과 형평’을 기치로,
시민 모두가 행복한 아산시를 만들기 위해
다양한 변화와 혁신을 시도했습니다.
의미 있는 성취도 많았습니다.
우선, 신정호를 주 무대로 다양한 문화예술행사를 열고
대한민국 전역에 ‘아트밸리 아산’이라는
새로운 도시브랜드를 알렸습니다.
기존 축제의 관행에서 벗어나
오로지 ‘이순신’을 테마로 정체성을 확립한
‘제62회 성웅 이순신 축제’는
세계 축제협회 한국대회 대표 프로그램 부문 최고상인
금상 수상의 쾌거를 거뒀고
충무공 이순신 장군의 예장 행렬을
409년 만에 재연한 ‘순국제전’으로
장군께서 영면해 계신 도시의 책무를 다했습니다.
또, 신정호 주변 대형 카페·레스토랑과 협력해 진행한
‘신정호 국제 아트페스티벌 100인 100색전’은
문화인프라 결핍을 발상의 전환으로 극복한 혁신 사례로
‘2023 대한민국 지방자치 혁신대상’ 문화혁신 부문
대상의 수상의 영예를 안았습니다.
‘대한민국 최초 온천도시’ 타이틀 역시
2023년 아산시가 거둔 빛나는 성과 중 하나입니다.
‘최초 법정 온천도시’ 타이틀을 두고
여러 국내 온천도시가 치열한 경쟁을 펼쳤으나
아산시는 성공적인 여러 온천산업 사업 수행 경력,
신성장동력 확보 노력, 적극적인 의지 피력 등을 통해
‘전국 최초 온천도시’ 타이틀 획득에 성공했습니다.
또, 대한민국 최초 온천산업박람회 개최,
온천산업 발전 유공 대통령 표창 기관 선정 등
올 한 해 대한민국 온천산업 분야에서
아산시의 족적은 뚜렷했습니다.
불안정한 글로벌 정세 속에서도
대한민국 수출 1위, 중부권 경제거점 도시 아산의 위상은 굳건했습니다.
삼성디스플레이 4.1조 투자 결정,
디스플레이 분야 국가첨단전략산업 특화단지 지정,
1조 원 규모 무기발광 디스플레이 사업 예타 대상 확정 등
디스플레이 산업의 메카다운 성과가 줄을 이었습니다.
지난 9월에는 8년 기다림 끝에
아산-천안을 잇는 고속도로가 개통되어
지역 도로교통망이 크게 혁신되었습니다.
향후 인주-염치, 아산-당진 서부내륙고속도로가 개통되면, 아산시는 동서남북 격자형 고속도로망을 갖추게 됩니다.
이는 우리 아산시에서 진행되고 있는 각종 사업에
엄청난 시너지 효과를 일으킬 것입니다.
참여자치 구현을 위해 출범한 아산시 참여자치위원회,
주민 중심 지방자치를 실현 중인 17개 읍면동 주민자치회,
신속한 소통을 위해 개설된 카카오톡 채널 아산형통 등
시민 소통 창구를 확대하고
시정 참여 기회를 확대한 것 역시
아산시의 2023년 대표 성과입니다.
이 밖에도 문화, 경제, 복지, 교육, 교통 등
2023년 한 해 동안 아산시가 거둔 성과와 성취는
일일이 열거할 수 없을 정도입니다.
모든 것은 시정의 주인이신 38만 시민 여러분과
