[신년사] 설동호 대전시교육감

 

대전교육가족 여러분, 그리고 대전시민 여러분!

 

갑진년(甲辰年) 새해가 밝았습니다. 희망찬 새해를 맞아 기쁨과 행복 가득하시고, 소망하시는 모든 일 성취하시기를 기원합니다.

 

지난해 대전교육은 우리 학생들이 안전하고 행복한 환경에서 꿈을 펼치며 미래를 활짝 열어가도록 교육가족 모두가 한마음으로 지혜와 역량을 모아 힘차게 매진하였습니다.

 

우리 학생들이 행복한 미래를 열어갈 훌륭한 인재로 성장하도록 교육의 본질에 집중하며 학생 맞춤형 교육을 강화하였습니다. 또한 지역의 인적.물적 자원을 활용한 초등 대전늘봄학교 운영, 고교-대학 원클래스 운영 등 학생 중심 교육 실현을 위한 교육협력 모델을 구축하였고 놀이통합교육, 독서인문교육, 학교예술교육, 과학융합교육, 체험중심 수학교육 등 탐구.체험중심의 다양한 교육활동으로 학생들의 배움과 성장을 지원하였습니다.

 

그 결과 전국과학전람회 대통령상, 전국청소년과학페어 2년 연속 대상, 전국학생과학발명품경진대회 2년 연속 최우수상 등 대전 학생들의 뛰어난 역량을 전국 무대에서 발휘하였습니다. 교육행정 부분에서도 시.도교육청 평가 결과 최우수 교육청 달성, 지방교육재정 분석결과 4년 연속 최우수교육청 선정 등 대전교육의 우수성을 대내외에 입증하였습니다.

 

이와 같은 대전교육의 빛나는 성과는 대전교육 발전을 위해 최선을 다해주신 교육가족과 대전교육을 성원해 주신 시민 여러분이 이루어 낸 결실로 여러분 모두에게 깊이 감사드립니다.

 

자랑스러운 대전교육가족 여러분, 그리고 존경하는 대전시민 여러분!

2024년 대전교육은‘행복한 학교, 미래를 여는 대전교육’의 비전 아래 우리 학생들이 자신의 꿈을 향해 미래를 활짝 열어가는 창의융합인재로 성장할 수 있도록 다음과 같이 대전미래교육 완성을 위한 교육정책을 추진하겠습니다.

 

첫째, 미래를 선도하는 창의융합교육을 강화하겠습니다.

 

체험과 실천 중심의 효.인성교육과 「우리 반 온 책 읽기」,「너와누리 책두레」동아리 운영 등 독서인문교육을 강화하며 365 플러스 체육온활동, 대전체육교육 진로.진학페스티벌 등 모두가 함께하는 학교체육을 활성화하겠습니다. 모든 학교에 데이터 기반의 지능형 과학실 구축을 완료할 예정이며 AI디지털 교과서 도입을 위한 교원 연수도 확대하여 디지털 역량을 강화하겠습니다.

 

또한「초록꿈마당」생태전환교육 체험장 추가 구축과 1교 1특색 환경 실천 과제 운영으로 환경감수성을 함양하고 그린스마트스쿨, 학교공간혁신사업, 학교복합시설을 추진하여 지속가능한 미래교육 환경을 조성해 나가겠습니다.

 

둘째, 학생들의 배움과 성장이 중심이 되는 혁신교육을 내실있게 추진하겠습니다.

 

2022 개정 교육과정 적용을 위한 학생 성장 중심의 맞춤형 교육과정과 교실수업 혁신을 지속 지원하겠습니다. 디지털 기반의 공립 온라인학교를 9월에 개교하여 고교학점제 안착과 학생 맞춤형 교육과정을 운영.지원하고 교육청-지자체-지역사회 협력의 마을교육공동체를 활성화하겠습니다.

 

또한 학생들의 자기주도적 미래설계를 위한 진로.진학.직업교육 내실화와 함께, 대전진로융합교육원 설립을 차질없이 추진하여 학생들의 다양한 학습경험과 행복한 배움을 지원하는 혁신교육을 실천하겠습니다.

셋째, 교육기회를 보장하는 책임교육을 실현하겠습니다.

 

학생 한 명 한 명의 배움과 성장을 위해 초.중학교에 책임교육학년제를 실시하고, 대전기초학력지원센터 운영 등 기초학력 지원체계를 강화하겠습니다. 또한 초등 대전늘봄학교를 확대.운영하여 양질의 교육.돌봄 통합 서비스를 제공하고, 다자녀 학생 현장체험학습비 지원 확대로 학부모 부담을 경감하며, 무상급식비 지원 단가 인상으로 급식의 질을 더욱 높여나가겠습니다.

 

이와 함께 대전국제교육원과 공립 대안학교, 서남부 지역에 특수학교 설립을 지속 추진하여 모두에게 다양한 꿈 실현의 기회를 보장하는 책임교육에 최선을 다하겠습니다.

 

넷째, 안전하고 건강한 교육환경을 조성하겠습니다.

 

교원이 교육활동에 전념할 수 있도록 교육활동을 보호하며 에듀힐링센터 마음건강 지원 확대 및 1교 1변호사제, 교육활동보호 법률지원단 운영, 학교안전 인프라 강화 등 교원과 학생이 안심하고 가르치고 배울 수 있는 학교 여건을 만들겠습니다. 학교폭력제로센터를 설치하여 전문지원단이 단위학교의 학교폭력 사안처리를 지원하고 디지털 성범죄 예방에도 힘쓰겠습니다.

 

이와 함께 대전교육가족의 휴식과 쉼을 위한 교육공동체 힐링파크를 차질없이 준비하여 쾌적하고 안전한 교육환경을 조성하겠습니다.

 

다섯째, 소통하고 협력하는 교육행정을 구현하겠습니다.

 

학부모의 건강한 학교 참여 문화를 확산하고 학교 공문 연동제 실시, 학교지원센터 설치로 교육현장에서 체감할 수 있는 학교업무경감을 지원하겠습니다. 대전교육정책네트워크추진단, 대전교육공감원탁회의 등 함께 만들어 가는 교육정책 개발로 정책 공감대를 높이고 신뢰와 협력의 교육공동체 문화를 조성하겠습니다.
