[신년사] 가세로 태안군수
존경하는 군민 여러분!
다사다난했던 2023년을 뒤로 하고 미래를 향해 도약하는 희망찬 2024년 새해를 맞이하게 되었습니다.
지난 한 해 동안 보내주신 따뜻한 성원에 감사드리며, 새해에는 군민 여러분 하시는 일 크게 성취하시고, 가정에 늘 건강과 행복이 함께하기를 기원드립니다.
태안군은 2023년 한해 어려운 여건 속에서도 군민 여러분들의 저력과 공직자들의 노력으로 눈에 띄는 성과들을 만들어 냈습니다.
6만여 군민 여러분의 노력과 성원 속에 ‘50년의 숙원’ 안흥진성과 백화산, 삭선리 군사 보호구역 해제를 가시화했으며, 태안읍성 동문 복원을 마무리해 읍성의 600년 얼을 되찾았습니다.
또한, 국토부 주관 ‘강소형 스마트시티 조성 사업’ 공모에 충남 최초이자 전국 군단위에서 유일하게 선정되고, 12월에는 태안읍 일대에 대한 ‘도시재생 공모’에 충남에서 유일하게 선정돼 사업비 260억 원을 확보하는 등 지역 발전의 기틀을 일궈낸 뜻깊은 한해가 아니었나 생각합니다.

2024년에는 그동안의 성과를 바탕으로 신산업 육성과 균형발전에 초점을 두고 미래 발전을 위한 노력을 이어나가겠습니다.
태안이 군민 여러분과 함께 한 단계 더 발전할 수 있도록 새로운 도약의 길을 열어나가겠습니다.
서해안 시대의 주역으로 거듭나기 위한 ‘국도 38호선 가로림만 해상교량 건설’과 ‘태안고속도로 건설’ 등 광개토 대사업 추진에 힘쓰고, 준공을 앞두고 있는 해양치유센터 및 가족복합커뮤니티센터의 성공적인 마무리에도 최선을 다하겠습니다.
환황해권 해양경제의 거점도시로 발돋움하는 태안의 역동적인 2024년에 뜨거운 애정과 관심을 부탁드리며, 모쪼록 2024년 갑진년(甲辰年) 새해를 맞아 군민 여러분의 가정에 사랑과 행복이 가득하시기를 다시 한 번 진심으로 기원드립니다.

Taean-gun achieved notable achievements in 2023 thanks to the power of its residents and the efforts of its public officials, despite difficult conditions.
Thanks to the efforts and support of over 60,000 residents, the lifting of Anheungjinseong Fortress, Baekhwasan Mountain, and Sakseon-ri military protection zones, a ‘50-year long-cherished wish’, was realized, and the restoration of the east gate of Taean-eupseong Fortress was completed, restoring the 600-year-old spirit of the eupseong.
In addition, it was the first in Chungcheongnam-do and the only one in the national military unit to be selected for the 'Gang-Small Smart City Creation Project' contest hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and in December, it was the only one in Chungcheongnam-do to be selected for the 'Urban Regeneration Contest' for the Taean-eup area, with a project cost of 26 billion won.
