[신년사] 이순열 세종시의회 의장
“여의주 물고 승천하는 청룡과 같이
새로운 다짐으로 힘차게 한 해 시작하길”
존경하는 39만 세종시민 여러분!
새로운 희망과 함께 2024년 갑진년(甲辰年) 새해 새 아침이 밝았습니다. 올 한해도 시민 여러분 가정에 기쁨과 행복이 가득하길 바라며, 소망하시는 모든 일들이 뜻대로 이뤄지기를 진심으로 기원합니다. 여의주를 물고 승천하는 푸른 용의 청량하고 신성한 기운을 듬뿍 받아 새로운 다짐으로 힘차게 한 해를 시작하시길 바랍니다.
지난해 세종시의회는 국회 세종의사당 국회규칙 통과와 충청권 초광역의회 의원 구성 합의, 광역의원 1인당 조례 발의 건수 1위 등 눈부신 결실을 보았습니다. 이 모든 성과는 시민 여러분의 격려와 성원이 있었기 때문에 가능한 일이었습니다.
올해도 시민을 위한 세종시의회의 열정적인 의정활동은 변함없이 이어질 것입니다. 행정수도 세종의 견고한 완성과 자족도시 구축, 그리고 국가균형발전을 선도하기 위해 더욱 노력하겠습니다. 또한 2027년 충청권 하계세계대학경기대회 성공개최를 위한 예산 확보와 정부·국회 차원의 지원을 위해 더욱 힘을 모으고 앞장서겠습니다.

Last year, the Sejong City Council saw remarkable results, including passing the National Assembly rules for the Sejong Building, agreeing on the composition of members of the Chungcheong region's ultra-metropolitan council, and ranking first in the number of ordinances proposed per metropolitan member. All of these achievements were possible thanks to the encouragement and support of our citizens.
Sejong City Council's passionate legislative activities for citizens will continue this year as well. We will work harder to solidly complete the administrative capital of Sejong, build a self-sufficient city, and lead balanced national development. In addition, we will further strengthen our efforts and take the lead in securing budget and support at the government and National Assembly levels for the successful hosting of the 2027 Chungcheong Summer World University Games.
