브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 오리온은 충청북도 노인복지시설에 ‘닥터유 제주용암수’, ‘초코파이情’, ‘꼬북칩’ 등 5500만 원 상당의 제품을 후원했다고 12일 밝혔다.
오리온과 충청북도, 충북사회복지공동모금회는 지난 11일 충청북도청에서 허인철 오리온그룹 부회장, 김영환 충청북도지사, 송기섭 진천군수, 이민성 충북사회복지공동모금회장 등 주요 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 후원식을 갖고, 관내 노인복지시설 631개소에 제품을 전달했다.
오리온은 2021년 충청북도와 진천테크노폴리스 산업단지 내 물류센터 건립을 위한 투자 협약을 체결한 바 있으며, 2022년부터 3년 동안 매년 후원을 이어가고 있다. 향후 충청북도가 식품 사업 확장을 위한 거점이 될 수 있도록 투자에 적극 나서는 한편, 지역 경기 활성화에도 이바지할 계획이다.
오리온 관계자는 “충청북도 지역 내 노인복지시설을 찾아오는 분들이 건강하고 따뜻한 새해를 맞이하는 데 보탬이 되길 바란다”며 “그룹 경영방침인 윤리경영에 기반하여 지역사회를 대상으로 한 정(情) 나눔 활동을 지속해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
