[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시가 20년째 평생학습도시 자격을 유지하고 있는 가운데 시민들에게 더 나은 평생학습 기회를 제공하기 위해 새로운 사업들을 발굴해 추진한다.
올해 새롭게 추진하는 사업은 대학연계 특화 평생교육사업 운영과 평생학습 SNS 서포터즈 운영 평생학습도시 중장기 종합발전계획 수립이다.
시는 지역 특성을 반영해 한층 더 발전된 평생학습도시로 도약하려 중장기 종합발전계획을 수립한다.
이를 위해 시는 오는 3~6월 제3차 김해시 평생학습도시 중장기 종합계획 수립 용역을 진행한다.
2025년부터 2029년까지 5개년 계획으로 시 전역을 대상으로 수립된다.
이번 5개년 계획은 평생교육기관 간의 협력 방안 평생교육진흥을 위한 미래 비전 제시 글로컬 사업 중 평생학습 분야와의 협력 방안 국가정책을 반영한 신규정책 제시 외국인과 이주민 자녀 맞춤형 교육 방안 등이 담긴다.
시는 또 관내 대학의 우수한 인프라를 활용해 평생교육 프로그램의 질을 한 단계 끌어올린다.
오는 3월부터 직무 재교육과 구직자 전문교육을 제공할 예정으로 예컨대 전문 실습실을 보유한 대학 교수진을 활용한 뷰티 전문가를 양성하는 등의 프로그램을 제공하게 된다.
평생학습 SNS 서포터즈도 운영한다.

김해에는 문화·여성·청소년시설 등 84개 평생교육시설이 있으며 지난 2022년 4월 옛 칠산서부동 주민자치센터 자리에 시 평생학습의 컨트롤타워인 생활문화평생학습관을 개관해 운영하고 있다.
지난해는 469개 평생학습 프로그램에 9,629명의 시민이 참여했다.
