대부분의 권력자들은 투쟁(鬪爭)을 통해서 권력을 얻게 된다. 그래서 역사는 권력 투쟁(權力鬪爭)의 역사이다. 한국의 현대 정치사에도 권력투쟁이 늘 존재했었다. 1979년 10.26 사건으로, 김재규 중앙정보부장에게 박정희 대통령이 암살됐다. 그후 전두환 장군이 내부 권력투쟁에서 승리, 군사 쿠데타가 성공했다. 전두환에서 노태우로 권력이 이동됐을 때, 노태우는 전두환을 백담사로 유배시키면서 권부 내의 전두환 세력들을 일시에 제거했다. 김영삼은 3당 합당 과정을 거쳐 권력을 쟁취한 이후, 전두환-노태우를 전격 구속했다. 이어 하나회 척결 등으로 내부 권력투쟁을 마무리 했다.

이처럼 권력이 이동되는 과정에서 내부 권력투쟁이 있어왔다. 최근, 윤석열 대통령과 한동훈 국민의힘 비대위원장 간의 힘겨루기가 외부에 표출됐다. 대통령실 비서실장이 한동훈 국민의힘 비대위원장의 사퇴를 언급한 것이 정치적 화급(火急) 사안으로 비화된 것. 이를 두고, 현실권력(윤석열 대통령 세력)과 미래권력(한동훈 세력) 간의 권력 투쟁으로 바라보는 시각이 표면화 됐다.
박지원 전 국정원장은 1월24일자 페이스북에 “'폴더 인사' '90도 인사'와 전용열차에 동승했다고 '빽전쟁'이 봉합 또는 끝나지 않습니다”라는 제목의 글을 올렸다. 박지원 전 국정원장은 이 글에서 “성급한 언론은 봉합 운운하지만 '언발에 오줌누기'입니다. 약속대련이 아니고 실전이고 권력투쟁입니다. 한동훈 비대위원장은 두 가지 명령을 불복했고, 또한 2년도 안된 태양이 있는데도 전국을 다니면서 태양 코스프레한 것도 믿었던 도끼에 발등을 찍힌 대통령 내외입니다”면서 “영부인께서 대국민 사과 의사를 넌지시 밝히면서도 총선 영향, 민주당의 공격을 계산하며 사과를 당에서 거부해주길 암시합니다. 민주당은 사과를 요구한 적도 없고 설사 사과해도 수용치도 않습니다. 박근혜 탄핵처럼 사과해도 탄핵하듯 이번에도 사과해도 특검으로 갑니다.”고 강조했다.
이어 “총선을 앞둔 국민의힘 내 여론은 한동훈 편이고 권력은 윤석열 김건희 두 분이 가지고 있습니다. 한 비대위원장이 김건희 특검 및 명품 백에 대한 사과 반대, 용검핵관(용산 대통령실-검찰 핵심 관계자의 준말)공천을 약속하면 봉합됩니다. 즉, 한 비대위원장이 국민을 버리고 대통령 내외분 편에 서는 겁니다. 그렇게 되면 총선 필패와 한동훈 비대위원장의 미래는 없습니다. 결국에는 한동훈 비대위원장이 물러나야 끝납니다“고 피력했다. 최근 사태를 그는 윤석열 대통령-국민의힘 한동훈 비대위원장 간의 권력투쟁으로 이해했다.

더불어민주당의 이재명 당 대표는 언제 구속될지 모르는 준 범죄인 상황이다. 그는 이런 우려 속에서도 현실적으로 미래권력 중의 한 세력이자 대안세력 중의 한 세력으로 존재하고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 더불어민주당이 4.10 총선에서 대승(大勝)한다면? 이재명이 미래권력의 대안인물로 부상하게 될 것이다. 불안스럽다. 하여튼, 4.10 총선 와중에 미래권력자로 한동훈-이재명이 떠올라, 엄연한 정치 불안을 부추기는 세력이 됐다.
현재 윤석열 정권 내에서 일고 있는 권력투쟁 양상은 윤석열 정권에겐 치명상 일수 있다. '권력투쟁' 논란이 총선용(總選用)이라 해도, 그렇다. 5년 집권 세력인데, 임기 절반도 안 돼, 권력투쟁이 표면화 됐기 때문이다. 현재 현 권력 내부에서 일고 있는 권력투쟁의 강도(强度)가 얼마나 센지는 가늠하기 어렵다. 정치 불안이 의식되는 것은, 이로 인해 윤석열 정권이 '식물권력'으로 비쳐질 수도 있기 때문이다.

[후기]권력투쟁이란 무서운 것..."박정희가 암살된 이유?"
요즘 한국에서 윤석열 대통토령과 국민의힘 한동훈 비대위원장 사이에, '검찰 혁명 동지(?)' 간의 권력투쟁설이 나돈다. 봉합(縫合)됐다고 한다. 봉합이란 실로 꿰맸다는 뜻이다. 실밥이 터지면, 언제든 재발 가능성이 있다.
아래는 권력투쟁이 무섭다는 이야기이다.
박정희와 김형욱은 5.16혁명의 동지였다. 미국에 망명한 김형욱은 박정희의 하야를 목적으로, 박정희의 치부를 공격했다. 박정희는 이런 행동을 배반으로 규정, 응징했다. 1979년 10.26(김재규의 박정희 암살) 직전, 김형욱은 박정희 권력에 의해 응징-살해 당했다.
