이를 위해 울진군농업기술센터는 올해 사업비 40억원을 투입해 들녘별 기계화 이모작 공동영농 단지 140ha, 스마트팜표고버섯 재배단지 20동 조성에 나설 계획이다.
또한 농산물의 고부가가치 창출을 위한 빅히트 가공상품 개발 및 온·오프라인 유통망 개선 교육 등을 추진한다.
들녘별 기계화 이모작 단지는 평해읍 월송 들녘을 중심으로 콩, 밀, 조사료 등을 이모작으로 140ha 재배하는 사업으로 고령인 지주는 농지를 제공하고 청년은 농기계로 생력재배를 진행하게 된다.
이를 통해 생산성은 높아지고 경영비는크게 낮출 수 있어 인근 지역으로의 파급효과도 기대되고 있다.
또한 농업 분야 ICT 과학영농 선도를 위하여 표고버섯 등의 작목을 스마트팜으로 재배하여 지역의 새로운 소득작목으로 집중 육성할 계획으로,2023년 20동의 임대형 표고버섯 스마트팜 설치에 이어 금년도에는 보조사업으로 20동을 설치 지원할 예정이다.
아울러 지역 농산물의 고부가가치 창출을 위하여 콩, 해방풍, 음나무 등의지역 대표 특화작물을 이용한 빅히트 가공상품 개발에 집중해 나가고자 한다.
특히 온라인 유통판매 지원을 위하여 녹색농업대학에서 농산물 마케팅반을교육하고 현장 컨설팅도 병행 추진한다.
손병복 울진군수는“농산업의 발전을 위해서는 재배기술, 가공, 유통 등 농업 전 분야의 경쟁력이 고르게 발전되었을 때 효과가 나타난다”고강조하고 “고령화된 울진농업이 농업대전환을 통하여 한 단계 성장하는 계기를 만들겠다”고 밝혔다.
