세종시 교육청이 기초·기본 학력을 강화하기로 했다.
또 방학중에도 아이들의 성장을 지원하고 모든 학교들이 교육활동에만 전념할 수 있도록 교육활동중심학교로 구현해 나가기로 했다.
최교진 세종교육감은 25일 시 교육청 대회의실에서 이 같은 내용으로 하는 ‘2024년 세종교육 주요업무계획’을 발표했다.
우선 최 교육감은 "기초·기본학력을 다지기 위해 '정다움 통합진단지원시스템'을 운영하겠다"고 말했다.
기초학력 보장을 위한 정다움학습지원튜터제를 신설하고, 초등 두드림학교, 중등 두드림 클래스를 확대하는 등 기초학력 다중 안전망을 갖추겠다고 했다.
또, 기초·기본학력 향상을 돕는 학습지원센터 역할을 강화해 학생들의 학습에 대한 조기 개입과 개별 맞춤교육을 지원하겠다고 강조했다.
특히 초3, 중1학년을 ‘책임교육학년’으로 정하고 경계성지능·읽기곤란·복합부진 등 학습지원 대상 학생의 비율을 20%까지 확대해 언어, 수리는 물론 디지털 소양의 최소 학력까지 촘촘하게 보장하겠다고 밝혔다.
최 교육감은 " 아이들의 성장 지원을 위해 방학중에도 경험 기회 확대를 위한 다양한 프로그램을 운영하고, 참여하는 학생들에게 통학과 중식까지 지원하겠다고 말했다.
교육청과 9개의 협력학교가 협의체를 구성해 방학 중 교육활동에 대한 다양한 지원 방안도 마련된다.
그는 "교육 중심 학교를 구현하기 위해 ▲학교폭력 ▲학교 공간 ▲교육활동 보호에 대한 3대 학교 안전망을 통해 교육활동을 온전하게 보호하겠다"고 강조했다.
이어 "학교교육지원센터를 재구조화하고 확장하기 위해 7월 중 조직 개편도 준비중"이라고 덧붙였다.
