전남교육청은 학부모들의 진로진학 이해도를 높이고 실질적인 정보를 제공하기 위해 ‘학부모 진로진학 아카데미’와 ‘학부모 진로진학 브런치 카페’를 연중 운영한다고 밝혔다.
그 첫 단추로 ‘제1기 학부모 진로진학 아카데미’가 지난 21일부터 23일까지 목포, 순천, 나주, 여수, 광양 등 5개 지역 진로진학상담센터에서 고등학교 1·2학년 학부모를 대상으로 개최됐다.
이번 아카데미는 변화하는 입시 환경에 발맞춰 ▲고등학교 생활 안내 ▲학교생활기록부의 이해 ▲대입 전형 핵심 정보 ▲현장의 생생한 진학 이야기 등 자녀의 성장 단계에 맞춘 실무적인 내용으로 구성되어 학부모들의 큰 호응을 얻었다.
전남교육청은 이번 4월 프로그램을 시작으로 지원 대상을 전 학교급으로 확대할 방침이다.
6월에는 고3 학부모 대상 '대입 실전 전략' 중심 아카데미 9월에는 중학교 학부모 대상 '고교 진학 및 진로 설계' 프로그램 12월에는 초등학교 학부모 대상 '진로 기초 역량 형성'을 지원하는 아카데미를 운영할 예정이다.
딱딱한 강의 형식을 벗어난 ‘학부모 진로진학 브런치 카페’ 운영도 주목할 만하다. 5월, 7월, 9월, 12월 중 오전 시간에 운영되는 이 프로그램은 편안한 분위기 속에서 진로·진학·학습에 대한 고민을 나누는 소통형 교류의 장이 될 전망이다.
