[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 시 대표축제인 김해분청도자기축제가 문화체육관광부의 2024~2025년 문화관광축제 예비축제로 지정됐다고 밝혔다.
문화체육관광부는 축제 자생력 강화와 지속 가능한 축제로의 발전을 지원하기 위해 전국 지역 축제를 대상으로 자격 여부, 개최 실적 등을 종합 검토해 20개를 예비축제로 최종 지정했다.
김해분청도자기축제는 경남도 지역 축제 중 유일하게 문화체육관광부 지정 예비축제에 이름을 올리며 그 가치를 인정받았다.
1996년 제1회 개최를 시작으로 김해 분청도자라는 특수한 콘텐츠의 역사적 정통성과 우수성을 널리 알리고 있는 분청도자기축제는 다양한 도자 전시·체험프로그램을 통해 도자문화 저변 확대와 도자산업 활성화에 기여한 점이 높은 평가를 받은 것으로 보인다.
이번 2024~2025 예비축제에 지정됨에 따라 김해시는 문화체육관광부로부터 2년간 축제 평가와 빅데이터 분석, 축제아카데미 등의 지원을 받게 되고 아울러 2026-2027년 문화관광축제 지정 신청 자격을 갖게 됐다.
매년 10월 진례면 분청도자박물관 일원에서 펼쳐지는 분청도자기축제는 분청 도자기스쿨, 도자기 발굴체험, 우리가족 도자기만들기 대회 등 도자기를 직접 만들어 보고 전통문화를 체험할 수 있는 프로그램 운영으로 가족 단위의 관람객들이 많이 찾고 있으며 지난해에는 관람객 수가 5천여명 증가했다.
