현존하는 우리(지금 동 시대인)는 인공지능(AI) 시대를 살기 시작했다. 지금, 우리는 별종 인간시대를 살기 시작했다.
필자는 언론인으로 51년을 사는 동안에 주간신문(전국지)-일간신문(전국지), 인터넷신문의 편집국장-발행인으로 살아왔다. 이런 사실을 굳이 드러내는 것은, 인공지능 시대와 깊은 연관이 있다고 생각하기 때문이다. 특히 인터넷 신문은 더더욱 그러하다.

필자가 21년째 발행인으로 있는 브레이크뉴스에는 101만 개(1,013,937만 개=2024년 2월3일 현재)에 달하는 뉴스-정보가 집적(集積)돼 있다. 대부분 한국 관련 뉴스-정보이다.
인공지능은 아무 것도 없는 데서, 있는 것을 만들어내는 게 아니다. 있는 자료를 융합-조합, 결과물을 토해내는 시스템이다. 이를 '원천 뉴스'-'원천정보'라 한다. 그러하니, 선진국 뉴스-정보만이 선진국을 만들 수 있다.
한국이 언론 선진국이어야 하는 이유가 여기에 있다.
브레이크뉴스에 축적-탑재(搭載)된 뉴스-정보는 한국 관련 뉴스-정보로 이뤄져 있다. 이 뉴스-정보가 출중하다면? 인공지능이 답해 주는 한국 뉴스 -정보는 출중한 것이 된다. 그래서 선진국을 지향하는 한국 사회에는 합리적인 언론이 중요하다.
필자는 인공지능 시대에는 인공지능이 만들어가는 '신형 민족주의'가 창조되어 진다고 믿는다. 한국 언론이 출중하다면? 인공지능 시대의 한국 민족주의는 출중하리란 게 필자의 추론이다.

필자는 인공지능 사이트인 '뤼튼'에 아래와 같이 물었고, '뤼튼'이 그 답을 아래와 같이 추출해놨다.
"-질문=민족주의가 무엇인지? 짤막하게 답해주세요.

예를 든다면, 한국 언론이 삼성 관련 정보를 긍정적으로 다량 축적해 놓는다면? 인공지능 시대의 삼성은 긍정적인 기업, 승승장구하는 세계적인 기업이 되겠지만, 부정적인 뉴스-정보를 다량 집적해 놓는다면, 삼성은 도태-사멸되는 기업이 될 것이다. 인공지능(AI) 시대, 언론의 역할은 이 처럼 중요하다.
현재 한국의 인터넷 언론사는 1만1천 여 개로 집계되고 있다. 미래형 미디어라 할수 있는 유튜브는 100여개로 집계된다, 말하자면, 언론사 천국이다. 이들 많은 매체들이 언제까지 존속할지는 의문이다. 생존할 수 있는 재정이 고갈되면 일시에 폐업하는 현상이 뒤따를 가능성에 있어 보인다. 언론 공백은 무서운 현상이랄 수 있다. 소통은 정상적이어야 하는데, 매체가 모두 사망하면 소통이 뒤틀릴 수 있다.
어찌됐든 인공지능 시대를 열어가는 시점에서 신문사 천국-매체 수가 차고 넘치는 매체 확장시대가 만들어졌다. 누구든 한국의 발전에 기여할, 뉴스와 정보를 생산할 수 있다면 한국의 부흥은 예약돼 있다고 생각한다.
