포스코그룹 지주사 포스코홀딩스 CEO후보추천위원회(후추위)는 지난 1월 31일 위원전원이 참석한 가운데 8차 회의를 열고 후보 6명을 확정해 발표했다.
이날 후추위에서 확정한 6명의 후보는 전중선 전 포스코홀딩스 사장, 장인화 전 포스코 사장, 김지용 포스코홀딩스 미래연구원 원장 사장 등 포스코 전현직 임원 출신 후보 3명, 김동섭 한국석유공사 사장, 권영수 전 LG에너지솔루션 부회장, 우유철 전 현대제철 부회장 등 외부 후보 3명이다.
포스코홀딩스 회장 후보가 6명으로 압축되면서 이제 최종 1인이 누가 될 것인가로 관심이 쏠린다.
이번 후보추천위원회에서는 “미래 도약과 변화를 위한 전문성과 리더십역량을 주요 기준으로 평가기준으로 후보들을 뽑았다고 밝혔다.

전중선 전 포스코홀딩스 사장은 포스코의 태스크포스(TF)의 실질적인 주축을 담당하는 경영전략팀장(CSO)으로 미래신사업 발굴, 기업 정체성 쇄신 등을 진두지휘하여 포스코그룹 안에서 전략기획 분야 전문가로 손꼽히는 만큼 미래 도약과 변화를 위한 전문성을 갖춘 후보자로 평가된다.
