[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시 관내 2만5,000여명 장애인의 복지 증진을 논의할 13명의 위원들로 구성된 장애인복지위원회가 발족했다.
시는 22일 시청 소회의실에서 김해시 장애인복지위원회 첫 정기회를 개최했다.
장애인복지위원회는 홍태용 시장을 위원장으로 장애인단체장, 대학교수, 장애인복지시설장 등 장애인 관련 분야에 학식과 경험이 풍부한 위원들로 구성됐다.
위원회는 장애인복지 관련 사업의 기획, 조사, 실시와 제도 개선, 지원 등에 관한 사항을 논의하는 기구로 이날 회의는 위촉장 수여, 2024년 장애인복지 주요 업무 추진계획 공유, 위원 의견 개진 순으로 진행됐다.
위원회 간사인 복지정책과장은 ▲장애인복지단체 운영지원 ▲장애인 바우처 지원 ▲장애인일자리사업 추진 ▲장애인 등을 위한 전동보조기기 보험가입 지원 등 올해 주요 업무 추진계획을 보고했다.
홍 시장은 “오늘 첫발을 내딛는 김해시 장애인복지위원회가 우리 시 2만5000여 장애인 권익과 복지 증진을 위한 다양한 의견들을 나누는 소통의 장이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
한편 홍 시장은 지난해 전국장애인부모연대가 주최한 제21회 전국장애인부모활동가대회서 발달장애인 정책뿐만 아니라 장애인복지 증진에 이바지한 공로로 도내에서 유일하게 우수 자치단체장상을 수상했다.
