기독교복음선교회(세칭 JMS) 정명석 목사 준 강간혐의 사건은 1심에서 23년이라 중형이 선고됐다. 지난 5일 오후 항소심 1차 공판이 대전지법 고등법원 제3형사부 심리로 진행됐다. 기독교복음선교회측은 7인 낸 재판 관련 보도자료에서 “항소심 1차 공판 직후 선교회 교인협의회는 '정명석 목사는 일관되게 무죄를 주장하고 있다. 최고의 법 체계를 갖춘 대한민국 법원이 무죄추정원칙과 증거재판주의에 의해 공정한 재판을 해주기를 기대한다'고 밝혔다”고 알렸다.
