브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= CJ의 기업주도형 벤처캐피털(CVC) CJ인베스트먼트(대표이사 김도한)는 글로벌 진출이 유망한 스타트업 성장을 지원하고, 글로벌 대기업 매칭을 통해 스케일업(Scale-Up, 사업확장)이 가능하도록 하는 글로벌 오픈이노베이션 ‘CJ글로벤터스 2기’ (GLO!VentUs, Global+Venture+Us)를 진행한다고 11일 밝혔다.
이번 프로그램에는 한국무역협회, 경기창조경제혁신센터가 공동 주관사로 참여한다. CJ인베스트먼트는 스타트업 발굴부터 선정, 글로벌 액셀러레이팅 등 프로그램 전반을 총괄하는 역할을 맡고 한국무역협회는 포춘 500대 기업 매칭 및 PoC(기술검증) 연계 지원, 경기창경은 글로벌 액셀러레이팅 및 해외 벤처캐피탈(VC) 연계를 각각 담당한다.
CJ글로벤터스에는 차별적인 비즈니스 모델과 기술력을 바탕으로 글로벌 진출을 계획하고 있는 스타트업이라면 모두 지원 가능하다. CJ그룹 및 경기창경에서 투자하고 있는 스타트업을 포함해 CJ의 대표 스타트업 육성 프로그램인 오벤터스 졸업기업도 참여할 수 있으며, 이들 기업은 모두 1차 서류 심사가 면제된다.
이번 CJ글로벤터스는 스타트업에 대한 실질적인 글로벌 스케일업에 초점이 맞춰져 있다. 이를 위해 프로그램 참가 스타트업에 대한 심사 단계부터 이들 기업에 관심이 있는 포춘 500대 대·중견 기업을 매칭할 예정이다. CJ글로벤터스에 선정된 스타트업은 이를 통해 보유하고 있는 기술이나 비즈니스 모델을 글로벌 대기업에 1대1로 설명할 수 있는 기회를 갖게 된다.
참가를 희망하는 스타트업은 오는 4월 3일까지 한국무역협회 이노브랜치에서 접수할 수 있으며, 서류심사·인터뷰 등을 거쳐 오는 5월 27일 총 20개팀이 최종 선정된다.
이들 가운데 최대 3팀에 대해서는 글로벌 기업 밋업과 글로벌 벤처캐피탈 기업설명회 성과 등을 바탕으로 팀당 최대 2000만원씩의 사업화 지원금을 지원할 계획이다.
