[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 세계유산 함안 말이산고분군을 찾은 일본인이 지난 7~8일에 이어 오는 16~17일에도 일본인 단체관광객들이 함안을 방문한다.
이번 행사는 가야고분군의 세계유산 등재를 기념하고 한국의 역사·문화를 알리기 위해 경상남도 동경사무소에서 추진하는 행사로 마련됐다.
1차 방문에는 한국음식 칼럼니스트로 활발히 활동 중인 일본인 ‘핫타 야스시’를 비롯해 일본인 관광객 22명이 한국을 찾았다.
이들은 3박 4일 일정으로 지난 7일 귀국했으며 첫 일정을 함안군에서 시작했다.
귀국 첫날인 7일에는 함안을 방문해 아라가야 불꽃무늬 형상의 ‘불빵’과 ‘홍시주스’를 시식했다.
아울러 매년 아름다운 불꽃의 향연으로 인기를 얻고 있는 ‘함안 낙화놀이’의 개최지 무진정으로 이동해 직접 낙화봉을 만드는 체험을 하고 소규모 낙화놀이를 감상했다.
둘째 날인 8일에는 지난해 9월 유네스코 세계유산으로 지정된 말이산고분군을 문화관광해설사의 설명에 따라 찬찬히 둘러보았다.
이어서 미식투어로 함안의 별미인 한우국밥촌 소고기국밥을 먹고 고려동유적지에서 다식체험과 연잎밥 정식을 맛보는 등 함안의 맛과 멋을 느끼는 시간을 보냈다.
이번 여행에 참가한 일본인 모리모토씨는 “말이산고분군의 웅장함과 고고학에 흠뻑 빠졌다”며 감탄을 연발했고 “낙화놀이 시연도 너무나 아름답다”고 칭찬을 아끼지 않았다.
군은 지난해 말이산고분군의 세계유산 등재와 함안 낙화놀이에 집중된 국내외의 관심을 관광 활성화로 적극 이어 나갈 계획이다.
군 관계자는 “세계유산인 말이산고분군을 국내외에 알릴 수 있게 되어 기쁘다”며 “말이산고분군과 더불어 함안 낙화놀이 등 함안의 우수한 역사·문화 자원을 연계한 특색 있는 관광 상품개발로 국내외 관광객 유치에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
2차 일본인 단체관람객은 오는 16일 함안을 방문할 예정이다.
