11일 군에 따르면 이번 보고회는 인구감소 및 지방소멸 위기에 대응하기 위한 지방소멸대응 사업을 발굴하기 위해 마련되었으며, 참석자들은 지역 특성을 고려한 맞춤형 사업 추진 방안에 대해 다양한 의견을 교류했다.
울진군은 지방소멸 위기 극복을 위해 정주환경, 경제, 문화 등의 분야에서 다양한 사업을 발굴하고, 지역특화자원을 활용한 획기적이고 참신한 투자계획을 수립할 계획이다.
군에서는 이번에 발굴된 사업을 공유하고 세부추진계획을 수립하여 작년보다 많은 금액의 2025년 지방소멸대응기금을 확보할 계획이다.
손병복 울진군수는 “울진만이 가지고 있는 장점을 부각할 수 있는 차별화된 사업전략을 수립해 지역에 정주할 수 있는 환경을 조성하는 등 누구나 살고 싶어 하는 울진군의 미래를 만들 수 있도록 많은 기금을 확보하는 데 최선을 다하겠다” 고 말했다.
