경기도의회(의장 염종현) 의정정책추진단이 지난 3월 4일 용인특례시청에서 ‘지역 현안 정책발굴 정담회’를 개최했다.
경기도의회 의정정책추진단은 정담회에서 용인지역 정책 과제별 추진현황을 점검하고, 정책 실행에 뒤따르는 애로사항과 경기도의회 차원의 지원책과 관련 용인시의 의견을 수렴했다.
이날 정담회에서는 △도민들이 접근하기 용이한 근린공원 조성 △도시기능 회복을 위한 인프라 개선 △지역기반형 문화시설 건립 지원 △도로 신설 및 확포장 지원 확대 △안전하고 편리한 통학로 개선 △하천시설 정비 확충 △노후 상수도관의 정비로 안전한 물 공급 등이 논의됐다.
이날 윤재영 의원(국민의힘, 용인10)은 “지역경제 및 관광활성화를 위한 숲속마을 문화의 거리 지정을 위해 주차장 해소 및 상권 활성화 방안 마련”을 제안했고, 김선희 의원(국민의힘, 용인7)은 “친환경적이고 안전한 하천 정비로 도민편의 제공을 위해 우기철 상습침수 구간 하천 수변에 대한 대폭적인 개선작업과 수변 정비 예산 대폭 확충”을 제안했다.
강웅철 의원(국민의힘, 용인8)은 “도민의 삶의 질 향상을 위한 숲속 쉼터, 숲속 산책로, 커뮤니티 마당 등이 조성된 근린공원의 조속한 조성”을 제안했고, 이영희 의원(국민의힘, 용인1)은 “하수도 미보급 지역에 소규모 공공하수처리시설 건립으로 최적의 환경서비스 제공”을 제안했다.
