윤석열 대통령이 12일 종교계 지도자들과 만나 "민생문제의 신속한 해결·의료개혁 등 미래를 위해 반드시 필요한 개혁 과제 완수를 위해 종교계에서도 힘을 모아달라"고 주문했다.
윤 대통령은 이날 청와대 상춘재에서 종교계 지도자들과 가진 오찬 간담회에서 "최근 민생 현장을 찾으면 찾을수록 해결해야 할 과제들이 많음을 느낀다"며 이같이 말했다고 대통령실이 전했다.
이날 간담회엔 기독교·불교·천주교·원불교·유교·천도교·한국민족종교협의회 등 10명의 종교계 지도자들이 초청됐다.
조계종 진우 총무원장은 참석자를 대표해 "근래 우리 사회가 어려움이 많지만 국민들 일상이 편안할 수 있도록 대통령·종교계 노력이 필요하다"고 화답했다.
윤 대통령은 종단별 현안을 들은 후 국정운영 관련 조언을 구했다. 종교계 지도자들과의 오찬 간담회는 윤 대통령 취임 후 이번이 세 번째다.
이 자리엔 한국교회총연합 대표회장 장종현 목사·수원중앙침례교회 김장환 원로 목사·조계종 진우 총무원장·천태종 덕수 총무원장·한국 천주교 주교회의 이용훈 의장·천주교 서울대교구 정순택 교구장·원불교 나상호 교정원장·유교 최종수 성균관장·천도교 주용덕 교령 대행·한국민족종교협의회 김령하 회장·유인촌 문화체육관광부 장관·대통령실 이관섭 비서실장·장호진 국가안보실장·성태윤 정책실장·황상무 시민사회수석 등이 함께했다.
대통령실은 "수석급 참모진이 함께해 종교계와의 소통·협력을 한층 더 높였다"고 전했다.
