[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 하동군이 올해로 26회째를 맞는 화개장터 벚꽃축제를 이번 달 22일부터 24일까지 3일간 화개면 그린나래광장에서 개최한다.

‘봄의 정원, 벚꽃의 향기’를 주제로 화개면청년회가 주관하고 화개장터벚꽃축제추진위원회가 주최하는 이번 행사는 하동군립예술단의 봄을 알리는 공연을 시작으로 청소년 댄스 경연대회, 관광객과 함께하는 즉석 레크리에이션, 벚꽃 DJ 뮤직 페스티벌 등 다양한 프로그램을 준비한다.

화개면 십리벚꽃길은 화개장터에서 쌍계사로 이어지는 구간으로 1930년대부터 지금까지 100여 년을 이어온 1,200여 그루의 나무가 있어 대한민국에서 아름다운 길로 손꼽힌다.

특히 야간에는 화려한 조명으로 더욱 환상적인 벚꽃길을 즐길 수 있다.
