[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 함양군이 지난해 경남 최초로 도입해 성공적으로 사업을 시작한 공공형 계절근로 사업을 오는 4월부터 본격 시작한다.
군에 따르면 27일 오후 상림공원 인근 계절근로자 지원센터에서 올해 계절근로자로 배정된 35명 중 함양군과 계절근로자 송출 협약을 맺고 1차로 입국한 베트남 남짜미현 근로자 20명에 대한 환영 행사를 가졌다.
특히 이번에 입국한 계절근로자는 함양군이 전국 최초로 42명의 근로자 입주가 가능한 규모의 계절근로자 기숙사를 준공하고 맞는 첫 근로자라 더욱 뜻깊은 시작이라 할 수 있다.
이날 환영 행사에는 진병영 함양군수, 농협 관계자 등이 참석해서 함양군 농촌 일손에 보탬이 되고자 입국한 근로자들을 격려와 당부 말을 전했다.
진병영 군수는 “공공형 계절근로사업은 관내 영세농가, 단기 인력이 필요한 농가에 큰 도움이 되는 사업”이라며 “지난해에 이어 올해도 농가와 계절근로자 모두 만족할 수 있도록 제도를 체계적으로 관리하고 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.
