브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 광주광역시 서구 갑에 옥중출마한 송영길 소나무당 대표가 29일 보석이 기각되면서 옥중에서 총선을 지휘하게 됐다.
서울중앙지법 형사합의21부(부장판사 허경무)는 이날 특정범죄 가중처벌 등에 관한 법률 위반(뇌물) 등 혐의로 기소된 송영길 대표의 보석을 기각했다.
지난 1월4일 구속기소 된 송 대표는 지난달 26일 '오는 4월 총선에 나갈 수 있게 해달라'며 법원에 보석을 청구했는데, 재판부는 보석을 허가할 상당한 이유가 없다며 기각시켰다.
재판부는 "증거인멸의 가능성이 구속영장 발부의 큰 요인이었다고 판단된다"면서 "선거운동을 한다면 많은 사람을 만나게 될텐데 사건 관련자들과의 접촉을 어떻게 구분해서 막겠느냐"고 기각 취지를 설명했다.

한편, 송영길 대표는 캠프 관계자에게 보낸 옥중서신을 통해 "이재명 대표도 구속 영장이 기각되고, 조국·김만배·손준성 검사 모두 유죄 실형판결을 선고하면서도 법정구속은 하지 않았다"면서 "국기문란 범죄의 계엄사 문건을 작성했던 조현천 기무사령관, 50억 클럽의 박영수 특검도 보석 석방되었으나 송영길만 묶어두고 있다"고 부당함을 호소했다.
이어 "작년 4월 프랑스에서 귀국 후 두 번이나 검찰에 자진 출두해 소환조사를 촉구했으며 당시 한동훈 법무부 장관은 아무리 다급해도 절차에 따르라고 깐죽거렸다"며 "이종섭 호주대사 도피로 궁지에 몰리자 이종섭과 송영길은 다르다. 송영길은 다르다. 송영길은 출국금지 안했다"고 주장했다.
