윤석열 대통령이 31일 부활절을 맞아 "정부와 함께 더 낮은 자세로 국민 속으로 깊숙이 들어가 국민의 아주 작은 목소리에도 귀기울이겠다"고 밝혔다.
윤 대통령은 이날 오후 서울 강동구 명성교회에서 열린 '2024 한국교회 부활절 연합예배'에 참석해 축사에서 "어렵고 힘든 분들이 일어설 수 있도록 따뜻하게 보살피고 힘을 드리겠다"며 이같이 말했다.
그러면서 "지금 나라 안팎으로 심각한 도전·위기에 직면해 있다"며 "사회 내부 갈등이 점차 극단으로 치닫고 북한·국제 정세 위협으로 나라 밖 사정도 밝지 않다. 이런 때일수록 부활의 참뜻을 되새겨 모두가 함께 실천해야 한다"고 말했다.
이어 "지난 140년 동안 한국 교회는 우리 공동체를 유지·발전시키는 데 크게 기여했다"며 "나라가 어려울 때마다 눈물의 기도·아낌없는 헌신으로 새롭게 일어설 용기를 줬다"고 말했다.
또 "예수님께선 십자가·부활을 통해 인류를 죄에서 해방시키는 무한한 사랑을 보여주셨다"며 "모두가 진정한 자유를 누릴 수 있도록 사랑·연대 정신을 실천하는 게 부활의 참뜻을 이뤄가는 길"이라고 말했다.

윤 대통령은 예배에 앞서 장종현·이철 회장·이영훈 한국교회총연합 직전대표회장(기독교대한하나님의성회 대표총회장)·김삼환 명성교회 원로목사·김진표 국회의장 등과 환담을 나눴다.
이날 예배엔 김진표 국회의장·한동훈 국민의 힘 비상대책위원장·김부겸 더불어민주당 상임공동선거대책위원장·대통령실 성태윤 정책실장·이도운 홍보수석·주 교단 지도자·성도 7200여명 등이 참석했다.
