【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=경주시는 지난 4일 시청 대회의실에서 2025년 예산편성을 위한 제5기 주민참여예산위원회 위촉식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

주민참여예산위원회는 주로 예산편성 등 예산과정 전반에 주민들의 다양한 의견을 수렴하고, 시민 제안사업의 우선순위를 심의·조정하는 역할 등을 수행하게 된다.
이날 위촉식은 주민참여예산위원회 위원에게 위촉장을 수여하고, 임원진 선출과 주민참여예산 운영방향 모색을 위한 특강 순으로 진행됐다.
제5기 위원회는 공개모집 및 추천을 통해 총 34명의 위원으로 구성됐으며 각계각층의 목소리를 반영할 예정이다.
이날 회의는 위원들 간 호선을 통해 위원회를 이끌 권영부 위원장과 전성환 부위원장 및 각 분과별 위원장 3명이 선출됐다.
권영부 위원장은 “이번에 구성된 제5기 주민참여위원들과 힘을 모아 주민참여예산위원회가 더욱 활성화 되도록 노력하겠다”고 전했다.
위촉식에 이어 진행된 특강은 2024년 경주시 주민참여예산제 운영방향 설명과 위원회의 역할 등 위원들의 역량 배양을 위한 시간도 가졌다.
주낙영 경주시장은 “주민참여예산제도가 예산편성에 주민들이 직접 참여하는 제도인 만큼, 주민생활과 밀접하고 창의적인 사업이 발굴되도록 많은 관심과 참여 부탁드린다”고 당부했다.

The special lecture, which was held following the appointment ceremony, also included time to develop the capacity of members, such as explaining the operation direction of Gyeongju City's resident participatory budgeting system in 2024 and the role of the committee.
Gyeongju Mayor Joo Nak-yeong said, “As the resident participatory budgeting system is a system in which residents directly participate in budget preparation, we ask for your interest and participation so that creative projects that are closely related to the lives of residents can be discovered.”
