브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 신한라이프가 시민 휴식공간을 개선하고자 지난 5일 서울 청계광장 일대에서 서울시설공단이 주관하는 ‘청계아띠’ 봉사활동을 진행했다.
청계아띠는 ‘청계천을 지키는 아름다운 띠’라는 뜻으로 기업이나 단체가 참여해 청계천을 건강하고 쾌적한 환경으로 조성하기 위한 활동이다. 신한라이프는 지난해 10월 서울시설공단과 청계아띠 공동업무협약(MOU)을 체결하면서 청계천 가꾸기에 동참했다.
이날 봉사활동에는 신한라이프 임직원 약 30여명이 참여해 청계광장 분수 수조와 행운의 동전던지기 모형인 팔석담에 겨우내 쌓여있던 이끼를 청소하고, 청계천 일대의 거리화분, 띠녹지대 등에 다양한 꽃을 심어 아름다운 꽃길을 조성하는 등 환경정비 활동을 진행했다.
신한라이프 관계자는 “청계아띠는 공공기관과 민간기업이 협력해 지역사회의 환경을 개선해 나간다는 점에서 의미가 크다”며 “앞으로도 더 나은, 더 따뜻한 사회를 만들기 위해 다양한 기관들과의 협력으로 ESG 가치를 실현해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
