브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이재명 더불어민주당 대표가 4·10 총선 선거일 투표율이 저조하다며 지지자들의 투표 참여를 독려했다.
이재명 대표는 이날 정오경 자신의 SNS를 통해 "투표율이 지난 총선보다도 저조하다"며 "오전 10시를 기준으로 투표율 10%를 넘었지만 지난 대선은 물론이고 총선보다도 저조하다"고 밝혔다.
이 대표는 "이번 총선은 부산을 비롯해 전국 곳곳이 새 역사를 쓸 접전지인데, 투표율이 낮을수록 이들 접전지는 불리하다"며 "이번 총선은 투표 독려에서 승패가 결정되는 상황"이라고 설명했다.
이어 그는 "지금 바로 아는 지인 모두에게 투표에 참여할 것을 독려해 달라"고 강조했다.
이재명 대표는 "아직도 우리에겐 선거운동 시간이 5시간 47분이나 남아 있다"면서 지지층 결집을 거듭 강조했다.
한편 중앙선거관리위원회에 따르면 제22대 국회의원 선거 투표율은 이날 오후 4시 현재 61.8%를 기록 중이다. 지난 2020년 21대 총선의 같은 시간대 투표율(59.7%)보다 2.1%포인트 높은 수치다. 여기에는 지난 5∼6일 치러진 사전투표(투표율 31.28%)가 포함됐다.
투표는 오전 6시부터 오후 6시까지 총 12시간 동안 전국 1만4259개 투표소에서 실시된다. 본 투표는 지난 5~6일 실시된 사전투표와 달리 주민등록지를 기준으로 지정된 투표소에서만 투표할 수 있다. 투표할 때는 본인 확인을 위해 신분증을 반드시 지참해야 한다.
