군에 따르면 이날 협약식은 손병복 울진군수와 한국여행업협회 오창희 회장을비롯해 여행업 업계 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 손병복 울진군수가 직접 자연치유 및 웰니스관광을 강조한 울진군 관광 프레젠테이션을 진행했다.
양 기관은 이번 협약을 통해 국내외 관광객 유치를 위한공동 마케팅 활동, 연계 관광상품 개발·운영 및 판매증진 등 공동 발전에 대해 상호 협력하기로 했다.
또한 울진군은 협약과 함께 한국여행업협회 특별회원으로 가입하여 국내 여행사와 관광 관계기관 등과 활발한 네트워크를 바탕으로 울진 맞춤형 관광 홍보활동을 펼칠 예정이다.
손병복 울진군수는 “이번 협약을 통해 체계적이고 효율적인 관광객 유치에기여 할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다”라며 “울진군 관광자원이 꾸준히 경쟁력을 높여1,000만 관광객을 유치할 수 있게 지속적으로 노력해 나가겠다”라고 밝혔다.
