동국대 WISE캠퍼스 4·19 기념 동국인 등산대회 개최

【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=동국대학교 WISE캠퍼스는 지난 12일 경주시 남산 일원에서 4·19혁명을 기념하는 ‘제44회 동국인 등산대회’를 개최했다고 15일 밝혔다.

동국인 등산대회는 4.19혁명 당시 민주주의 수호를 위해 앞장섰던 동국대학교 학생들의 뜻을 기리며, 전 동국인이 등산대회를 통해 화합의 장을 마련하고 애교심을 함양하기 위해 개최되었으며 재학생과 교직원, 동문 등 2천여 명이 참가했다.

올해는 동국대 WISE캠퍼스가 경주 남산과 더불어 통일전에서 통일정신과 화랑정신의 역사 문화적인 가치를 새롭게 느끼고, 동국인으로서 자긍심을 고취하고자 통일전에서 개회식과 시상식, 폐회식까지 행사를 개최했다.

류완하 동국대 WISE캠퍼스총장은 개회사를 통해 “동국인 등산대회는 4·19 혁명에서 민주주의를 위해 희생된 선배들의 뜻을 기리며 모두가 화합하기 위한 것”이라며, “동국대학교 WISE캠퍼스가 글로컬 대학으로 나아가고자 하는 방향에 맞추어, 경주 남산과 통일전에서 행사를 개최했다. 남산의 문화적 가치와 함께, 통일전에서 통일정신과 화랑정신을 새롭게 일깨우는 시간이 되기를 바란다.”고 말했다.
