황당하다. 반성은 좋다. 그런데 그들은 패인을 잘못 파악하고 있다. 남탓이다, 하나같이 대통령의 공감 부족을 지적하고 집권 여당으로서 무능했음을 자학하고 있다. 또 하나 황당한 소리는 당내 민주주의를 들먹인다. 이준석이 쫓겨난 거, 전당대회에서 비민주성, 모두가 대통령 잘못을 지적한다. 말하는 꼴을 보면 당신들은 패할 만 하다. 이 무식하고 무능한 사람들아, 잘못 짚어도 한참을 잘못 짚었다. 당신들 전략이 부족했던 거다. 한국의 정치 지형이 바뀌었다니까.
그럼 이렇게 말해보자. 대통령의 공감 부족? 그럼 대통령이 열심히 나서서 소통하고 전국 구석구석 돌아다니며 공감 퍼포먼스 하고 이재명, 조국, 문재인 만나서 아부 떨고 같이 좌파 하자면서 추켜세우고, 당내 민주주의를 위해서, 이준석과 유승민이 그렇게 내부 분열 시켜도 당내 민주화를 위해 내버려두고, 전당대회에선 어떻게? 아무나 당대표가 되도록 방치하고 그 당대표가 쿠데타를 일으켜도 내버려 두고, 이런 식으로 하면 지난 총선에서 이겼을 거라는 식이네, 이게 말이 되냐?
하나 묻자. 그럼 당신들은 승리를 위해서 뭘 했냐? 전략을 있었냐? 지난 총선 결과는 보수 진영이 잘못해서 그런 게 아니라 문화전쟁에서 참해한 거라고, 당신들처럼 의리 없고 멋 대가리없고 뻔한 소리 하면서 이재명 문재이 조국 편에 서서 간보고, 허구 허난 재미없는 소리나 지껄이고 말 마디 마디마다 아무런 포인트도 없고, 하품나는 소리나 골라서 하고, 그러다 지지율 오르지 않으면 모든 걸 대통령 탓으로 돌리면서 내부총질이나 하고. 그런 게 바로 패배주의이고, 자학적 세계관이라니까. 거 참, 사람들 정말 한심하네.
지난 총선이 참패라면, 그 이유는 수도권이라니까. 수도권에서 왜 그렇게 표가 안 나오냐고. 이유는 분석해봤냐? 이제 한국 보수는 수도권을 포기해야 될 수도 있다니까. 당신들 보수라면서, 자유의 가치는 아냐?
유권자들에게 왜 보수당을 지지해야 한다고 설득 하냐? 막연히 문재인과 이재명에 반대해서??? 그게 아니라고. 유권자들을 향해 당신들은 어느 쪽이냐고 물어야 한다, 보수주의자들은 자유민주주의 나라 대한민국편이라고 말해야 된다. 위선자들은 그와 같은 질문에 '민족' 편이라고 대답한다. 그건 위선이다. 포장된 기만술이다. '민족'이라 말하지만 그건 '북한' 편이다, 그런 위선을 깨야 한다고. '민족' 편이 아니라 '한국' 편이라고 말할 수 있어야 한다니까.
생각해봐라, 한국에 살면서 많은 걸 누리고 사는 사람들이 막연하게 '민족' 편이고 실질적이고 '북한' 편이어야 되냐, 그게 말이 되냐? 당신들은 자유의 가치도 모르고 왜 싸워야 되는 이유를 모르니 패할 수밖에 없었던 것이다.

Professor at Kunsan National University. He is a scholar who studies international economics, game theory, and regional development strategies. He is currently serving as a professor in the Department of Trade at Kunsan National University. He previously researched and lectured on ‘gaming’ at the Department of Economics at the University of Alberta, Canada, and served as a research fellow at the Korea Construction Industry Research Institute.
He was born in Namwon, Jeollabuk-do and graduated from Jeonju Hanil High School and Chonbuk National University College of Commerce. He later moved to the United States, where he received a master's degree in statistics and economics from North Carolina State University, and a doctorate in economics from the University of Kansas, where he studied industrial organization and game theory.
