윤석열 대통령이 1일 군 중장 진급자 7명에게 삼정검 수치를 수여하고 "많은 후배·부하·장병들에게 더욱 모범을 보이고, 그들을 더욱 사랑하고 강한 군대를 구축하는데 중심이 돼 주길 바란다"고 당부했다.
윤 대통령은 이날 오후 용산 대통령실에서 손대권 신임 육군 군수사령관·정진팔 신임 육군 교육사령관·권대원 신임 지상작전사령부 참모장·이승오 신임 합참 작전본부장·원천희 신임 국방정보본부장·서진하 신임 3군단장·박재열 신임 7군단장 등으로부터 진급·보직 신고를 받으며 이같이 말했다.
윤 대통령은 중장으로 진급한 장군들 삼정검에 직책을 명시한 수치(끈으로 된 깃발)를 직접 달아주며 격려 후 수여식에 동반한 배우자들에게도 꽃다발을 건네며 축하했다.
윤 대통령은 진급자들에게 "여러분들은 군문에 들어와 이제 최고 정점 지휘까지 올라왔다"며 축하·격려를 전했다.
