브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 한국마사회는 지난 달 25일 렛츠런파크 서울에서 ‘2024년 제1차 사랑의 단체헌혈’ 행사를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
한국마사회는 2004년부터 매년 4회씩 대한적십자사와 함께 단체헌혈 행사를 이어오고 있다. 이번 1차 헌혈 행사에는 마사회 임직원 및 관계자 41명이 참여해 생명 나눔을 실천했다. 이날 모아진 혈액은 대한적십자사 남부혈액원을 통해 필요한 곳에 전달될 예정이다.
헌혈행사에 참여한 마사회 직원은 “지난해 동료직원들의 수혈로 무사히 수술을 받고 건강을 회복한 경험이 있다”라며 “그때를 떠올리며 이번에는 내가 누군가의 건강과 회복에 도움이 될 수 있다는 기쁜 마음으로 헌혈에 참여했다”고 전했다.
한편, 한국마사회는 오는 7월 ‘제2차 사랑의 단체헌혈’을 진행, 생명 나눔 문화 확산에 앞장설 계획이다.
