윤석열 대통령이 10일 대통령실 신임 시민사회수석에 전광삼 전 시민소통비서관을 임명했다.
정진석 대통령 비서실장은 이날 오전 용산 대통령실 브리핑에서 "언론인으로 사회 각 분야 풍부한 경험·네트워크를 바탕으로 정무감각·소통능력을 인정 받았다"며 "뭣보다 2번의 대통령실 비서관 경험을 토대로 시민사회의 다양한 목소리가 국정운영에 반영되도록 현장 의견 경청·조율에 적임자라 본다"고 소개했다.
경북 울진 출신 전 신임 수석은 대구 성광고·중앙대 졸업 후 서울신문에서 기자로 활동했으며 지난 박근혜 정부 청와대 국정홍보비서관실 선임행정관·춘추관장 등을 역임했다.
윤석열 정부 들어 시민소통비서관을 지냈으며 지난 제22대 4·10 총선에서 대구 북구갑에 출마했으나 공천서 탈락했다. 시민사회수석은 시민사회·종교계 등과의 소통을 담당하는 자리로 지난 3월 황상무 전 수석이 '언론인 회칼 테러' 발언으로 물의를 빚고 사퇴하며 공석이었다.
