[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 장기미집행 도시공원 8곳의 공원 기능 회복을 추진한다고 10일 밝혔다.
시는 2020년 7월 1일부터 시행된 ‘장기미집행 도시계획시설 일몰제’에 대비해 미래 세대를 위해 반드시 필요한 도시공원 부지 8곳의 존치를 결정했다.
이어 2019년부터 총 751억원을 투입, 8개 공원 부지 52만㎡ 매입을 완료해 현재 토지매입률은 79%이다.
장기미집행 도시공원은 동지역 4곳, 진영 1곳, 장유 2곳, 진례 1곳 총 8개 공원이다.
공원당 조성 규모는 각 3만~17만㎡로 총 조성 면적은 65만㎡이다.
조성 완료로 개방한 공원은 임호산 일원 임호공원이 있으며 조성 중인 공원은 여래공원, 분산성공원이 있다.
토지가 100% 매입된 공원은 임호공원, 삼산공원 2곳이며 송정공원은 37%, 나머지 공원은 80% 이상이다.
현재 장기미집행 도시공원은 불법 경작, 건축 등으로 대부분 훼손된 상태이며 단기간 내 공원 전체 조성은 현실적으로 불가능한 실정으로 단기적 정비방안을 마련해 토지매입 완료지 지장물 철거와 정비를 통해 공원 기능 회복을 추진 중이다.
1단계로 2023년 하반기 지장물 철거 안내를 완료한 데 이어 2단계로 올 4월부터 지장물 철거를 진행 중이다.
2025년부터는 수목 식재, 꽃밭과 산책로 조성 등 공원의 기본틀을 마련해 시민들에게 쾌적한 도심환경을 환원할 계획이다.
시 관계자는 “단기적 정비방안의 원활한 추진을 위해 토지 매입 100% 조기 달성을 목표로 토지, 지장물 소유자의 원활한 보상 협의를 바란다”며 “하반기부터는 토지 수용 절차를 진행할 예정으로 향후 시설 도입을 위한 공원 조성 전체 예산 확보 시 주민의견을 수렴해 시민들이 원하는 공원을 조성할 계획”이라고 밝혔다.
