【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=동국대학교 WISE캠퍼스는 이 대학 생명신소재융합학부 신소재화학과 이준희 교수 연구팀이 삼성SDI로부터 연구 과제를 수주했다고 9일 밝혔다.

이준희 교수 연구팀은 삼성SDI의 지원을 받아 “차세대 고방열 EMC용 핵심 원료 개발 및 합성법 발굴”을 통해 고부가가치 차세대 전자재료 개발을 위한 연구를 진행한다.
삼성SDI는 에너지 및 소재 전문 글로벌 기업으로 전기차, IT 기기, 에너지 저장 시스템(Energy Storage System)등에 사용되는 배터리와 반도체, 디스플레이에 필요한 소재를 생산 및 판매하고 있으며, 변화와 혁신을 중시하는 삼성SDI는 지속적인 노력을 통해 세계적인 에너지 및 첨단소재의 창조적 리더로 도약하고 있다.
이번 과제의 연구책임자인 이준희 교수는 “이번 연구는 고성능 디바이스의 완전한 국산화를 앞당기기 위한 매우 중요하고 필수적인 연구 과제이며, 예년의 공동 연구 성과를 바탕으로 이번 기회를 통해서 한 걸음 더 나아가기 위해서 최선을 다하겠다”고밝혔다.
삼성SDI 관계자는 “본 과제의 성공은 우리 기업의 발전뿐만 아니라 국내 전자산업의 발전과 첨단소재 분야에서 국가 신성장 동력을 높이는 측면에서도 매우 중요하다”라며 “또한 이번 과제를 통해서 새로운 산·학연계 시스템을 구축하고자 한다“고 말했다.
한편, 이준희 교수는 동국대학교 화학과를 졸업한 뒤 서강대학교 화학과에서 이학석사 및 이학박사를 취득하였으며, 이후 UC 버클리, 컬럼비아 대학교, 이화여자대학교, 기초과학연구원(IBS) 등 국내외 유수의 대학과 연구소에서 다양한 연구 경력을 쌓은 이준희 교수는 2016년 3월부터 현재까지 동국대학교 생명신소재융합학부 신소재화학과 부교수로 재직 중이다.
