대통령실이 26일 한·중 간 고위급 협의체인 '한·중 외교안보대화'를 신설하고 한·중 자유무역협정(FTA) 체 경우 2단계 협상을 재개해 나가기로 했다고 전했다.
김태효 국가안보실 제1차장은 이날 용산 대통령실 브리핑에서 그간 추진돼온 상품교역 분야 시장 개방을 넘은 문화·관광·법률 분야에 이른 개방을 확대하는 방안을 논의키로 했다며 이같은 한·중 양자회담 결과를 전했다.
김 차장은 "윤석열 대통령과 리창 중국 국무원 총리는 이날 회담서 고위급 한·중 외교안보대화를 신설하고 다음 달 중순 첫 회의를 열기로 합의했다"며 "양국 외교·국방부가 참여하는 '2+2' 대화 협의로 외교부에선 차관, 국방부 경우 국장급 고위 관료가 참석한다"고 전했다.
그러면서 "한·중 FTA는 2015년 12월 발효된 상태인데 그동안 추진된 상품교역 분야 시장 개방을 넘어 앞으론 서비스 분야 특히 문화·관광·법률 분야에 이르기까지 교류·개방을 확대하는 논의를 이어가기로 했다"고 전했다.
또 "공급망 분야에선 산업·상무부 간 대화체 '한·중 수출 통제 대화체'를 출범해 공급망 협력 강화를 위한 소통 창구를 맡도록 할 예정"이라며 "기존 한·중 공급망 협력조정 협의체와 공급망 핫라인도 더욱 적극 가동해 나가기로 했다"고 전했다.
경제 협력 분야 경우 13년째 중단된 한·중 투자협력위원회가 재개되는 가운데 이 위원회는 한국 산업·중국 상무부 간 장관급 협의체다.
더불어 "지난해 11월 중국 지린성에서 제1차 회의를 한 한·중경제협력교류회 2차 회의를 하반기 중 열기로 했다"며 "마약·불법도박·사기 등 관련 초국경 범죄에 대한 양국 대응 협력을 강화하고, 한·중 인문 교류 촉진 위원회· 양국 청년 교류사업 등을 재개키로 했다"고 밝혔다.
