삼성전자는 지난 3월 출시한 공기청정기 신제품 ‘비스포크 큐브 에어 인피니트 라인’에 물로 씻어 재사용할 수 있는 ‘워셔블 살균 집진 필터’를 새롭게 탑재했으며, 이 필터에 적용된 기술로 24년도 인증을 받았다.
신기술 인증은 국내에서 최초로 개발된 신기술이나, 기존 기술을 혁신적으로 개선한 경우 산업통상자원부와 한국산업기술진흥협회가 그 혁신성과 우수성을 인증해주는 제도다.
삼성전자가 개발한 워셔블 살균 집진 필터의 ‘하이브리드 방식 전기 집진 기술’은 공기청정기 내부에만 고농도 이온을 발생시켜 미세먼지와 세균 등을 효과적으로 포집하면서도 외부로 방출되는 이온과 오존 발생을 최소화하는 것이 특징이다.
이 워셔블 살균 집진 필터는 초미세먼지 99.999% 이상 제거 능력뿐만 아니라, 포집균과 바이러스 99% 이상 살균, 오존 발생량 0.01ppm 이하로 관리 등 우수한 공기 청정 성능을 두루 갖추고 있다.
이 성능은 필터를 주기적으로 교체하지 않고 물로 세척해 재사용해도 유지된다. 또한, 신제품 비스포크 큐브 에어 인피니트 라인은 ‘광분해 탈취 필터’를 탑재해, 기존 활성탄 방식 대신 광촉매와 자외선(UV)으로 냄새 물질을 흡착∙분해해 효율적으로 제거하는 것이 장점이다.
이 제품은 신기술 인증 외에도 지난 2월 한국 오존자외선협회의 ‘PA(Pure Air) 인증’을 획득하며 부유 세균 및 바이러스 저감 성능을 인정받은 바 있다.
