세종시교육청(이하 세종시교육청)은 마을 아이들이 함께 모여 다양한 체육활동을 통해 만나고 소통하는 학교 밖 스포츠학교인'마을단위스포츠클럽 ‘동동동’(이하 동동동 활동)을 지난 4월부터 활발히 운영하고 있다고 3일 밝혔다.
세종시교육청은 학교 수요를 적극적으로 반영해 ‘동동동 활동’을 지난해 20개 학교에서 올해 25개 학교로 확대 운영하고 있다.
올해 상반기 ‘동동동 활동’에서는 자전거 등 15종목이 25개 학교에서 진행됐으며, 1,169명의 학생과 학부모들이 참여해 가족이 함께 스포츠로 하나 되는 시간을 가졌다.
‘동동동 활동’은 학사일정을 고려해 주로 주말에 진행되며, 일부 활동은 방과후에 진행된다.
