윤석열 대통령이 13일 (현지시간) 중앙아시아 3국 국빈 순방 마지막 방문국 우즈베키스탄에서 창업청년들과 만나 "양국 간 창업인재 교류확대를 전폭 지원하겠다"고 밝혔다.
윤 대통령은 이날 오후 우즈벡 타슈켄트 창업촉진센터(U-Enter)를 방문해 '한·우즈벡 혁신 미래세대와의 대화' 간담회에 참석해 이같이 말했다. 창업촉진센터는 KOICA(코이카) 사업으로 건립된 곳으로 입주공간 제공·교육·네트워킹 행사 개최·투자 자금 매칭 등을 종합 지원한다.
윤 대통령은 창업촉진센터 내 제품 개발 촉진·창업 지원을 위해 조성된 '메이커스페이스'에서 우즈벡 창업기업들이 3D 레이저·프린터 등을 활용 제작한 혁신 제품(원격 조종 파종 무인기 Nihol·고품질 지상 이미지 촬영용 무인기 GeoScan 등)을 둘러보며 관련 설명을 들었다.
그러면서 "디지털 전환 시대엔 AI(인공지능)·블록체인 등 딥테크 기술을 활용한 창업기업들이 경제성장을 주도해 나갈 것"이라며 "KOICA '청년 혁신 실크로드 리부트 프로그램'을 통해 창업역량을 갖춘 전문인력을 양성하고, 양국 창업기업·기술 인재들 간 협력·교류를 확대할 수 있도록 정부 차원서 전폭 지원해 나갈 것"이라고 밝혔다.
'청년 혁신 실크로드 리부트 프로그램'은 고용·산업 분야서 현재 진행 및 발굴 중인 KOICA 사업들을 융합한 포괄적 ODA(공적개발원조) 프로그램이다.
대통령실은 "양국 창업기업과 우즈베키스탄·고려인 청년 인재들은 우즈베키스탄 내 창업 촉진을 위한 우리 정부 지원에 감사 뜻을 나타내고, 윤 대통령이 발표한 '청년 혁신 실크로드 리부트 프로그램'이 양국 창업 생태계 간 연결을 강화하는 데 기여할 것이란 기대감을 드러냈다"고 전했다.
이날 행사 참석 한 고려인 청년은 "'청년 혁신 실크로드 리부트 프로그램'이 고려인 창업기업들을 다수 육성해 한·우즈베키스탄 스타트업 생태계를 과거 실크로드처럼 연결함으로써 창업 생태계 활성화에 기여하게 되길 기대한다"고 말했다.
또 우즈벡 여성 참석자 중 한 사람은 창업촉진센터에서 개최된 '우수 여성 스타트업 발굴을 위한 경진대회'를 언급하며 우즈벡 여성 혁신 창업기업을 육성해 나갈 필요성을 강조 후 "우즈벡 청년을 대상으로 IT(정보기술)·이공계 교육도 확대해 나가야 한다"고 말했다.
대통령실은 "이번 '혁신 미래세대와의 대화'는 중앙아시아 청년 스타트업에 대한 지원·협력이 중점 사업 하나로 포함돼 있는 '한·중앙아시아 K·실크로드 협력 구상' 발표 직후 이뤄져 더욱 의미있다"며 "우리나라와 중앙아시아 청년 창업자들 간 교류 기회를 제공하고 한·중앙아 창업 생태계를 연결하는 계기가 됐다"고 전했다.
