[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시는 26일 삼방어울림센터에서 청소년과 지역민의 교육·소통 공간인 동김해행복마을학교 개소식을 가졌다.
이날 개소식에는 경남도교육청, 김해교육지원청, 김해미래교육지구 운영위원, 동김해행복마을학교 1기 수강생 및 지역학부모 등 30여명이 참석했다.
행복마을학교는 청소년과 지역민이 서로 협력해 마을에서 함께 배우고 성장하는 미래형 배움터로 목공, 제빵, 도예, 미디어 제작, 마을 탐구 등 다양한 프로그램을 운영한다.
학생, 학부모, 지역민이 함께 협력하며 지속발전 가능한 지역 교육공동체 실현이 목표이다.
동김해행복마을학교는 김해행복마을학교, 무계행복마을학교에 이은 김해 세 번째 행복마을학교로 김해시도시재생사업센터와 협의를 거쳐 지난 4월 삼방어울림센터 2층에 입주했다.
삼방어울림센터는 삼방동 도시재생 뉴딜사업으로 건립돼 지역주민들에게 문화·복지·교육·휴식 등의 공공서비스를 제공하는 삼방동 도시재생사업의 핵심 거점시설로 △1층 주민쉼터와 어울림카페 △2층 시니어센터와 교육공간, 동김해행복마을학교 △3층 삼방동 도시재생현장지원센터 및 사회적 경제단체 입주 공간으로 운영되고 있다.
시는 지역민들의 교육 복지 증대를 위해 김해교육지원청과 협의, 삼방어울림센터 내 일부 공간을 행복마을학교로 이용할 수 있도록 무상 제공했다.
동김해행복마을학교는 학교 교육과정과 학생 성장 지원, 청소년과 지역민의 소통과 협력을 통한 마을교육공동체 구축에 주력할 계획이다.
또 세대를 아우르는 학습, 놀이, 마을 탐방, 지역사회 교육자원을 활용한 마을연계 교육과정 개설 등 지역의 교육공동체들이 함께 참여하고 만들어 갈 수 있는 다양한 프로그램을 운영한다.
한경용 시 인재육성지원과장은 “동김해행복마을학교가 동부권 청소년과 지역주민들이 소통·협력하면서 동반 성장할 수 있는 거점이 되기를 바란다”며 “앞으로 행복마을학교가 제 역할을 다 할 수 있도록 교육지원청과 긴밀히 소통해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
