브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 한국마사회가 말산업 전문인력 양성기관 고등학교 5개교 소속 109명의 학생들을 대상으로 ‘말산업 진로탐색반’ 원데이 교육을 선보였다.
‘말산업 진로탐색반’은 경마, 승마 등의 말산업 분야에서 꿈을 키우는 ‘말산업 특성화 고등학교’ 재학생들을 위해 한국마사회가 2022년부터 시행해온 교육 프로그램이다. 지난 3년간 357명의 학생과 교원들이 말산업 진로탐색반 참여를 통해 산업과 현장의 이해를 높여왔다.
지난 5월 22일부터 약 3주간 시행된 이번 교육에는 서귀포산업과학고, 경북자연과학고, 한국마사고, 한국말산업고, 한국경마축산고 총 5개교의 학생 109명과 교원2 0명이 참여했다. 한국마사회는 학교별로 하루씩 원데이 교육을 총 5회 시행하며 학생들에게 다양한 직업군들의 현장을 체험해보는 시간을 선사했다.
참가 학생들은 한국의 말문화를 엿볼 수 있는 말박물관 관람을 시작으로 말동물병원, 장제소, 도핑검사소, 경주마사, 경마방송센터 등을 방문해 실제 현장에서 각 직업군들이 어떤 업무를 수행하는지 살펴보고 조언을 얻을 수 있었다.
방세권 한국마사회 부회장겸 말산업본부장은 “한국마사회는 말산업육성전담기관이자 말산업 전문인력 제2차 양성기관으로서 말산업 인재양성을 위해 더 많은 학생들이 참여할 수 있는 방향으로 프로그램을 확대할 예정이다”고 말했다.
